Well, as Mr. Manz already knows, I'm a true to heart metal head. But, I notice Mr. D, that you listen to celtic music? I must admit, I am also a fan of that selection, mostly because of my celtic heritage and my hobby as a re-enactor.

I've been listening to the latest album from Iced Earth. I don't really know what to think of it. I love the fact that Barlow is back, but I'm not that big a fan of the way their style has changed in the last two albums. Too much choir singing and many songs sound too much like Blind Guardian instead of the older Iced Earth songs.

I must admit, a heck of a lot of these bands everyone's mentioning I've never even heard of before. Personally, I'm a huge Coldplay fan, though I like several other bands/artists as well.

They're a british band. Not entirely sure what their genre would be. Contemporary rock? I think that's what it's been called before. Over here, it's also labelled as pop/rock, but I hear over in the US pop is more R&B and hip-hop? Which it most certainly isn't.

The beginnings of my Coldplay fandom was slightly odd. I'd heard several of their songs and loved them, but had no idea what they were called or who they were by. Then I found out that one of the songs I liked was by Coldplay, and bought the album. I loved it, and then bought their other album (they only had two at the time), and discovered on both albums songs that I'd heard many times before and loved. I was like, "It's THAT song!"

My favourite of theirs at the moment is the title track of their new album, Viva La Vida.

At the moment, I'm listening to Daydreamin' by Lupe Fiasco (feat. Jill Scott). Coincidentally (or maybe not), only a couple minutes earlier I was also listening to Squares by The Beta Band. They both sample heavily from the same song...
