I was really excited to find "Dead Poet Society" on DVD.
It was quite a while ago that I had seen that movie!
Has anyone seen it?
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today,
Tomorrow will be dying.

I guess I am weird because I liked Sky Captain. I like those comic booky, 30's serial movies.
If you want to see a good movie with Angelina Jolie, go see "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Her and Brad Pitt have good chemistry.
Here's some movies that have amazed me over the last few months...
"Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset": The movie is just dialogue, but it's so rich, engrossing, and well-written.
"Maria: Full of Grace": Here's a movie that just made my jaw drop. A Columbian woman has to smuggle in cocaine into the U.S. so she can have a better life. It was one amazing movie.
Worst movie I've seen in the past few months...
"Van Helsing": The movie had a great concept, but it fell really flat. The special effects were decent, but the movie was pretty forgettable. |

I saw "Infernal Affairs" tonight. It was a pretty good Hong Kong flick. The two main character blurred the lines between good and evil pretty well.
I'm going to see "Batman Begins" tomorrow.
BTW, I heard the "Penthouse 2005 Pet of the Year Play-Off" DVD is great viewing. The blonde in it is most excellent, so I've heard. |

In another topic Martina mentioned Pretty Woman.
Julie Roberts does very well in that one.
One of the best "feelgood" movies with Julie Roberts is I think Nothing Hill.
Liked that one very much .. one can always be a bookshopowner |

I agree with you on Aviator. Plus this movie was way too long.
Shaun of the death sounds like a perciflage on Dawn of the Death.
I saw a very strange comedy this weekend called 'Groundhog day'.
It's a bizar story about someone that goes to a town called Punxsutawney and he relives the same day over and over again... Is that a curse or a blessing? _________________ Don't Panic! |

I have seen GroundHog Day, i didnt think it was a bad movie. I think it was good for him to live the same day over and over again as it seemed to help him in the end
Last night i watched Spiderman 2, it was an ok film. It kinda dragged on a bit though. _________________ Martina Warren - Official Website of the 2005 Penthouse Pet of the Year

Yeah I loved the fact that he could do things over and over again. Like his date with the girl and in the end he did get it right!
Spiderman 2 wasn't that great. Oh has anyone seen Pirates of the Caribean. I once had a date with a cute girl to see that movie! _________________ Don't Panic! |

I liked "Spider-Man 2" because it got Spider-Man and Peter Parker right. Peter was always torn between his personal life and Spider-Man. The movie got it right, but it did drag a bit in the middle. It could have used more of Doc Ock. I think the scariest thing in the movie was Doc Ock's gut!
Speaking of superhero movies, I saw "Batman Begins" yesterday and it was great! It was a thinking man's (or woman's) Batman that really got the feel of Batman right. It could have used more Scarecrow, though. |

| I saw "D.E.B.S." on DVD yesterday. This was a movie that got nearly all negative reviews by the critics, but I liked it! It wasn't the greatest movie, but it worked for me. It's sort of a satricial Charlie's Angels with a lesbian love story. |

I saw Star Wars III last night.
It's more that I promised someone to go that had no one else to go to the movies with. What can I say. It was not as bad as I expected. It's kind of a dark movie. Not like hollywodstyle happy end, but still it's kinda rediculous this story would be before a movie that as mad in the 70's.
Oh well...it's better then sitting behind the computer alone. _________________ Don't Panic! |

I wasnt to keen on Hitch. It was cute in parts but other parts it really dragged and i thought was kinda stupid. I give it just 2 stars. I must admit at the ending where they were dancing it was pretty damn funny _________________ Martina Warren - Official Website of the 2005 Penthouse Pet of the Year

So far it’s the 2nd highest grossing movie of the year. Here’s the top 5 highest grossing movies of the year so far as of today:
1. Star Wars: Episode III, $358.60 million
2. Hitch, $177.575 million
3. The Longest Yard, $141.89 million
4. Mr. And Mrs. Smith, $125.43 million
5. Batman Begins $121.69 million
(I’m only counting non-animated movies, since I never watch animated movies) |
